Ranking: Countries from Which Brazil Imported the Most in 2025 and in the First Half of 2026

Brazil maintained a strong concentration of its imports among its major trading partners throughout 2025 and the first half of 2026. According to ComexStat/MDIC data, China, the United States, and Germany remained the country's leading suppliers, highlighting the Brazilian industry's continued reliance on imported raw materials, intermediate goods, and industrial inputs.

China remained Brazil's leading import partner by a wide margin, with imports totaling US$ 35,675,725,621 in 2025 and US$ 30,759,401,455 between January and June 2026. The Asian nation continues to play a strategic role as a key supplier of electronics, machinery, chemicals, and industrial inputs.

The United States ranked second, with imports totaling US$ 21,666,534,247 in 2025 and US$ 15,478,469,234 during the first half of 2026. The country remains a key supplier of fuels, machinery, and high-tech products to the Brazilian market.

Germany ranked third in the list, with imports totaling US$ 7,017,349,627 in 2025 and US$ 5,849,305,571 in 2026, reinforcing its position as an important supplier of industrial goods and high-value-added equipment to Brazil.

One of the main highlights of the period is South Korea, which recorded US$ 2,659,979,998 in 2025 and increased to US$ 5,310,230,092 in the first half of 2026, nearly doubling its exports to Brazil and demonstrating strong growth in bilateral trade relations.

Rounding out the Top 5, Argentina recorded US$ 6,165,844,870 in 2025 and US$ 5,115,555,416 in 2026, maintaining its position as one of Brazil’s main regional suppliers, especially in the automotive and agribusiness sectors.

Overall, China maintains a consolidated leadership position as the main source of Brazil’s imports, followed by the United States and Germany. South Korea stands out due to its significant growth during the period, while Argentina continues to be a strategic partner in South America. The ranking highlights Brazil’s strong dependence on imported industrial inputs and intermediate goods to support its production chains.
