Chinese Products and Trends to Watch for 2027

China has moved beyond being simply a major industrial hub to becoming an important source of new products, technologies, and consumer trends that are quickly reaching other markets, including Brazil. And the numbers show that this movement is already underway: between January and August 2026, Brazil imported US$51.56 billion worth of Chinese products, 9.5% more than during the same period in 2025.
One of the most evident examples can be seen in electric mobility. Chinese electric and hybrid cars have rapidly gained ground in the Brazilian market. In the first quarter of 2026, imports of Chinese plug-in hybrids grew by 636% in value, while imports of electric cars increased by 644%. In 2025, nearly 85% of the electric cars sold in Brazil were produced in China.
The trend is also reflected in products related to the energy transition. Solar panels, lithium batteries, and energy storage systems are already part of Brazil’s import landscape. Rechargeable lithium batteries imported from China grew by 49% in volume during the first quarter of 2026, while China accounted for 89% of Brazil’s imports of this product.
But the next wave is not limited to cars and industrial technology. China has been developing and scaling products focused on lifestyle, beauty, smart homes, food, pets, and well-being, combining technology, convenience, personalization, and competitive prices. Chinese brands are also expanding internationally in fashion, sports, coffee, and other consumer segments, showing that the country aims not only to participate in manufacturing but also to help shape the next generation of consumer categories.
For Brazilian companies, following these developments can mean discovering new categories to import, adapting products to the domestic market, or even identifying opportunities to export Brazilian products to consumers whose habits are changing. After all, many trends that may seem like a “new development in China” today could become business opportunities in Brazil tomorrow.
